Lead Instructor, Kim

Kim is the lead instructor of The Elite Prep, specializing exclusively in PSAT and SAT preparation. As a University of Virginia alumna with more than a decade of teaching experience, she has worked with middle and high school students pursuing competitive academic opportunities, including selective private school admissions, advanced academic programs, and college admissions preparation.

Throughout her years of teaching, Kim noticed that score improvement often depended on more than content knowledge alone. Students frequently struggled with recurring question types, test-specific traps, time management, and decision-making under pressure. This led her to spend years studying official College Board exams, analyzing question patterns and testing structures to better understand how the SAT and PSAT are designed.

Today, her instruction is built around a methodology that combines pattern recognition, strategic problem-solving, targeted weakness analysis, and personalized preparation plans. Rather than relying on generic test-taking strategies, students learn how to recognize recurring exam patterns, approach questions efficiently, and build the skills necessary for consistent score improvement.

Based in Northern Virginia, Kim works with ambitious students throughout North America and Asia.
